Mulage Magazine puts the Afro on the Front Row.

Founded in London, UK in 2024, Issue 1 focuses on stories from Black and Black Mixed Heritage designers and style icons in the UK. Insights are shared from Designers and Celebrities showing at and attending past London Fashion Week shows and presentations; including Ghetts, Julie Adenuga, Tolu Coker and Geoff K Cooper of Sagaboi.

Designer and powerhouse Abigail Ajobi, is on the front cover, wearing a green ensemble in her signature adire (tie-dye) print. Included is a double page spread from her London Fashion Week Presentation and insights into her inspiration for the collection.

Articles from Graduate Fashion week and communities like FACE (Fashion Academics Creating Equity) are also included, to highlight the work they are doing to support Designers of Colour to have a platform to grow in the UK. Photos from the Graduate Collection of Christie Mande (also known as ‘Viee’, Interviews from University Faculty Gavin Douglas and identity commentator Caryn Franklin.
