AFROs POPPING AND Gowns Flowing

Black designers and celebrities shone at the British Fashion Council Fashion Awards, presented by Pandora with official partners eBay and The Peninsula London. The Fashion Awards are a vital fundraiser for BFC foundation, supporting fashion talent through scholarships and initiatives.

The event took place at the Royal Albert Hall on 1st December 2025, hosted by Emmy and two-time BAFTA winning and Oscar nominated actor, playwright, and director Colman Domingo.

Colman has had powerful performances across film, television, and theatre fighting to close the racial equality pay gap. He recently served as co-chair of the Met Gala and will appear films directed by Antoine Fuqua and Steven Spielberg.

It was a star studded affair with representation across various industries. One thing that was consistent was style across the board. Fashion stalwarts Edward Enninful and Chioma Nnadi were in attendance. Chioma sparkling in her striking sequinned silver gown.

Kano presented the Cultural Innovator to Little Simz, who wore Vanguard nominee Tolu Coker. Tolu has also had a busy year, with celebrity looks for the Met Gala and now the 2025 Fashion Awards.

Dave accepted the British Menswear Designer of the Year Award on behalf of Grace Wales Bonner, who has had an exciting year, being appointed as Creative Director of Menswear at Hermès. Her first collection will début in January 2027. Dina Asher-Smith wore Ferrari to present the award with Sienna Miller.

FKA Twigs wore a braided hairstyle and co-presented the Vanguard Award with Ncuti Gatwa. 

Iman presented the Pandora Style Moment of the Year Award to Sam Woolf, wearing Harris Reed. Model of the Year Anok Yai wore Vanguard winner Dilara Fındıkoğlu.

Designer Feben attended the awards and both Tems who performed on the night and model Ashley Graham wear her gowns.

Skepta wore a juicy jacket, inspired by a bottle of Ribena, by his own brand MAINS London, to present the Special Recognition Award for 25 Years of Fashion East to Lulu Kennedy and Raphaelle Moore. Artist Frisco, also attended the Awards wearing MAINS London.

Raye performed “Where is my husband” and “Cry me a river”, wearing Ferrari. Stephanie Takyi and Nana Acheampong of Sheer Luxe also attended. Judi Love wore Coast by Debenhams and Toni-Blaze Ibekwe who wore a dark gold Karoline Vitto dress and had her curls popping.
