AFRO ON THE FRONT ROW

A magazine that celebrates Afro hair, culture and style. We keep the Afro top of mind, just like the crown it was created to be. Standing tall and proud on someone’s head.

We promote black and black mixed heritage fashion and accessories designers, to give a vehicle to showcase their talent and make it easy to know Black-owned brands in this space.

We interview relatable role models from various industries from the black and black mixed heritage community or those supporting the work of those in this community, to share knowledge and tips on how to show up in life, and fulfil your potential, depending on what you feel called to be or do.

We believe that we all need to see examples of people winning at something, to know what is possible. We are tireless in sourcing these role models, so that everyone can live life boldly and fearlessly on their path to greatness.

We actively choose models with natural Afro hair, to showcase it’s beauty and share examples of success whilst wearing natural hair.

“It’s time for the Afro and it’s various styles to be recognised as a beauty standard. For people to feel empowered to wear their hair with pride, the way that it comes out of their head.” The Editor, Mulage Magazine

The print magazine comes out twice a year, and we will be hosting a series of live events to bring the Afro-loving community together to grow together, feel nurtured and share stories.

Walk with us on this journey to inspire people to greatness. We are actively looking for partners in Advertising, Fashion Design and Styling, Afro haircare and Afro beauty.

“It’s time for the Afro and it’s various styles to be recognised as a beauty standard. For people to feel empowered to wear their hair with pride, the way that it comes out of their head.”
